options???

so i got the o.k. from the woman to get a new 4runner. i was actually going for a tundra, but after driving them both back to back, i'm really sold on the 4runner. i am thinking about the sport 4runner. any options i should make sure it has or not waist my money on?

if you can pass up on the running boards don't get em!! I took mine off and if you want em, ask me and i'll send ya mine for a small fee but you know it'll be cheaper than toyota!

get the sunroof, it's worth it! the rear spoiler is a pos so don't bother.

The jBL audio is had some issues w/ some members so keep that in mind. you can read up on it real quick here or on other boards.

get the v8 if possible: much better and no problems whereas the v6 is having some 1st yr kinks. (sorry v6 guys/gays... just stating the obvious - still great engine for v6 though! hehe )

things to consider:

if you want to lift it. make sure you don't get the xreas system or the rear suspension. Only cuz when you upgrade the suspension to lift it, all those will come out (hence waste of $$$).

I have a 03 v8 sport edition in gray color. I totally love it. The reason I got the sport edition is because of the x-reas, it is standard on the sport edition. I test drove both the SR5 and sport, I liked the sport better. If you can wait another 2 months or so, you can get the sport edition with color keyed cladding, bumpers for close to no extra charge. richardyc--how did you fine out and are you sure? i was going to get it mabie 2 weeks from now, but from what you are saying the sides can be gotten painted like the limited instead of the plastic?

No sunroof(would of been special order)
running boards(couldnt not get them)
premium stereo(not synthesis)
17inch wheels(couldnt not get them)
apperance package
cloth seats
I would of really liked to have a sunroof but I didnt wanna wait... so

i'm actually going to get it in about a week or so. i was set on the sport in silver, but the black looks just so good.......i have owned black before, but being its going to be a lease, mabie i'll give it a try. i know it rough though, but its so good looking.........

does the apearence package for the sport make all the plastic moulding on the side painted?

I believe so... Those pics of my runner had the appearence package option.
