Well I just drove around at the coast for a couple hours and then pointed the T4R back East.
Made it home without any mishaps. Was headed north on I-5 during the fireworks shows, could see multiple towns lighting up the sky at once, was kinda neat.
I only had the paper maps, no cool electronics/mapping software, so I was just going to follow along too. Be allot slower going with me in the lead and probably be making a few wrong turns.
The Coast was cold and dreary and dark/foggy.
I lied I guess I was in North Bend not Coos Bay.
Our meeting point Horsfall Beach parking was closed due to high water. The camp grounds looked packed out solid.
I barely drove on some sand and felt like I could get stuck really easy.
Dash cam decided to act up for the first time in 3-weeks. Just decided to record when it felt like it, did a time lapse and it only caught the last hour to the coast.
I drove on a couple of the side/forest roads on the coast. Narrow, heavy loose gravel, hardly any decent pull outs, marked with CB radio channel numbers for what I am guessing is for all the HEAVY logging operations.
Had to make an 8point turn to get out of one, 2ft drops on the shoulders, not very neat.
Some say "follow pilot car".
I am thinking I am more into an adventure after it cools down some.
Was 101* here yesterday. Looks like it melted/burnt one of my house window blinds. My place will probably burn up right now if I am gone more than a couple days.

I just had a good friend of mine drink himself to death a couple months ago, Mom had to put her 13 year old cat to sleep 2 weeks ago.
Death sucks, it is part of life, none of us are immune to it.
Seems like time helps to dull the loss.
