It's a Series II without the radio. I only bought what it came with. I'm still working on actual mounting. Bought it from 4WD.com for $226.02 shipped.

I like the tires on that 40 as well, but I'm leaning towards KM2's 31x10.5x15. Thoughts?

EDIT: Was just told 4,3/8.

Should be 7" with +15mm backspacing. "15x7JJ-15"

I believe the trucks with the same looking rims had 8mm backspacing.

Talked to a shop about rebuilding our 22RE. It was a lot higher than I was expecting, around $4,500. Looks like I'm buying a new one online for $1,800 shipped!

To test out fit & finish I put on a 33x12.5x15 I had. It fit good, so I know a 31x10.5x15 will do great!

That 33 fits great till you try and turn, then youll have some firewall stuffage. The 31s should do nice.

The KM2 is a great all around tire, great for street and off road. But if this runner is going to be spending more time off road than on, I would go with a swamper.

Yeah I wanted a swamper since you can go more narrow. However for about the first year it's going to get a lot of street use and I'm afraid the swamper would wear out to fast.

Dropped off my rims at the sand blaster to get stripped. I've decided to spray paint them. Going with the vintage grey.

Pulled the trigger on our soft top. Went with KTT, Killer Toy Tops. We will be getting their first new top with internal cage capable of supporting a roof rack. Pretty excited! I'll write up a review when it gets here in about 6 weeks. We also went with grey for the canvas color. I'll also be removing the internal roll bar once it's installed.

I also wanted to buy from 22RE performance (Stage 2), but the wait was a concern, and right before I placed an order, an officemate recommended a local shop whose owner used to race 22RE's in Baja California, so I went for them.
So far, happy with the rebuild.

Received my "new" sunroof glass and other goodies.

Also bought my 31x10.50x15 KM2's today! Picking up the rims tomorrow freshly blasted and will paint and mount hopefully this week!

I'm also having Toyota help me determine the extent of my engine problems before I go any further with that.
