I PERSONALLY have not done it, but if you're not too worried about a "clean" install it's pretty easy. Just get an indoor/outdoor one and put the probe where ever you want the temp to be read.

Here is a picture of a friend of mines (he uses it to monitor his intake temp) I apologize for the pic quality. It is the thing above his CD player.
