Correct. Flagstaff (Mormon lake) May, 16-18. you may want to hurry though and get your registration in for the event (and classes) if you haven't yet.

Last year I prepurchased my ticket online a month or two in advance.
When I got there people told me they were selling event tickets for 50% or so cheaper than what I paid for them online.
I doubt the event tickets sell out. Yes the classes sell out, but next time I go I will be buying my tickets at the day of the event.
I'm just basing my experience from the 2013 overland expo.
I had a whole number of specific classes I wanted to be in (and it was hard trying to fit them in the schedule already as is), so for me the early registration was important. If you have no requirement on classes, then the "buy-at-the-gate" option sounds like a good way to save a few bucks.

What I want to know is who is teaching these photography and videography classes….b/c that sounds like something that I might NEED to be there to help teach. :sad:

Yea, I saw that page, but it still doesn't say who will be teaching what. It just says who will be there and in what role. Wish it wasn't right smack in the middle of finals week or I'd probably go.
That is being addressed with Barcode scanning name tags this year according to the information provided.

I would check in with the Hanson's on that... I got mine earlier this week. Maybe they are timing it according to when you registered (I pre-registered on day 1 as well). Are you driving over?

I'll be driving in from the west coast. Depending on the class schedule, I haven't decided if i'll arrive Thursday night or Friday. Planning on riding in Sedona Sunday after the event and maybe making my way up to Zion before heading back to the coast. There is also supposed to be a good trail (for bikes) in Grafton UT which is close to Zion; it is possible there are some good roads out there too, but I need to look into that.

Kewl... We're going to be at Grand Canyon village on late Wednesday /Thursday. The wife and I are camping there. Driving into flagstaff late on Thursday.

Are you considering bringing the trailer and camping, or staying in town? I'd love to show the mrs what I 'd like to do in terms of trailer/RTT and you're the best example I know off.

I'll have my CVT roof top tent on the 4Runner as well if you are considering that as an option. I should also have my rear cargo drawer setup by then which means I'll be a little more organized.
But yeah, i'd like to see the trailer setup as well. One can only dream...
