I'm going to camp there...do some trail fun, cover some of the trucks, and well..have a beer or two

I'll probably end up in PA. camping the weekend before...so I'll probably just restock and head to this event on Tuesday...

I had a thread started for the CMCC, but some bonehead admin figured it needed to be in the General Discussion area (thanks for nothing) so I deleted it.

Got the final event information in my email and will be organizing my event information in the next couple days.

Only 3 people submitted their contact info to get together at the Expo, so I will mail the shared list out to those folks here in the next day or so as well.

Just one more week till I hit the road! Can't wait to get moving!

Overland Expo West Camp Site

For the West Expo 15-18 May - my plans have changed and my reserved camp site close in to the show is available. I can't get my $$ back, so I offer it to anyone going for $100 for Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night. (That's what I already paid).

My understanding is that it has hookups and electrical. I'll be at the Expo, just not camping.

PM me if you are interested and we can make arrangements.

I'll be there from Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning. We'll be camping there and looking at the reps. Not doing any classes.
Last year, it was very breezy. There could be grit everywhere.

Guys that will be there - I reserved a camp site in the close-in camp site and now won't be camping - I think we can park there during the day anyway. Can'ytget a refund so decided to keep it.

First thing I did when I arrived at the gate was meet Okki and Sundog7121. We wanted to setup camp and eat, then it ended up being later than it should be, so maybe we'll meet again tomorrow.

Got checked in and met Semi-Hex and Sundog7121. Walked the vendor village for a sneak peek ahead of tomorrow and then went to dinner with Sundog7121. Had a blast!

Speaking of sneak peek.... Saw this while Demello was setting up. Hopefully it's an early prototype, because I was not impressed with fit and finish and attention to design details. The pieces under the headlights do not meet up with the upper Grill and the metal forming was kind of sloppy.

LOL... I just updated my original post. But sloppy, does not blend well with OEM plastic, washer bottle sticks out a little, looks like the bottom plate does not play well with budbuilt or shrockworks skids.

I know there was a mention of a relocation bracket to be made for the washer bottle on DO's Facebook page. Don't like the sound of it not playing well with shrock or bud skids, because I really like the design. If you could, could you get a few more pictures of it?

Sure thing. On a related note, Paul from Equipt was very kind in showing off some details of their 5th gen. The pull out for their fridge is REALLY nice.

Anyone near New Orleans may want to get in touch with Southern Style Speed. They had some nice GX470 bumpers and are looking for a 5th gen. VERY nice build quality. I have contact info for anyone who is interested in allowing their truck to be used as a build platform. Should result in a free or near free bumper for that individual.
