Didn't see this specific case on any existing thread.
Check engine light came on (and VSC lights)- 2004 model. Replaced 1 aft oxygen sensor, check engine light went away (but VSC lights stayed on). Check engine light came on again after a month, P0171 this time, supposedly indicating front oxygen sensor or vacuum leak or MAF sensor problem.
Cleaned, then swapped the MAF sensor with my wife's FJ sensor, did not correct problem. A Toyota Tech happened to drive by and stopped to help me out. He took out his device which said that there was no electrical signal going to the rear oxygen sensors, which confused me because P0171 supposedly indicates the front sensor.
Since I had just changed one of the rear sensors, he said to check/change the wiring going to the oxygen sensors. Does this sound like it would fix the problem? Is the VSC light related to this or just a coincidence?
