Doing some donuts in some 1ft deep puddles. My engine cut off and is throwing out 2 codes. P0335 and P1341. Having a rough time starting. When it does start, its rough and dies unless I hold rpms at 2500 then as soon as I let off the throttle it dies. First thing I did was check the air box and it was dry. Letting it sit to see if some connections dry out. I had my wheels turned drivers side and no splash guards, so it was just throwing water all around engine but mainly drivers side. I unplugged my crankshaft sensor plug and camshaft sensor plug, both seemed dry. Unplugged battery for a bit. Hooked it all back up and it had reset itself while starting and running perfect. I drove it a little over a block and it died and codes are back. Thoughts on what I did and can do to solve it.

When my problem came up, I searched and found a few threads. This is one that came up and I checked my wires to find that they are fine. Similar problem but looks to be different issues. I appreciate the link tho!
Come to find out, after taking it to toyota, it sure enough was like the link posted. My wires were rubbing somewhere on the belt. Toyota seemed to think it was because whoever did my timing belt/water pump last didnt route it back correctly. To solve the issue, splice the wires back together and tuck it out of the way until next timing belt service. I should have looked harder!!

Glad you got it sorted out. I'm surprised that it comes up so often. There was a guy stuck at a gas station along I-70 near Vail a few months ago. It turned out to be the same issue.
