PA speaker w/o CB?

I want to get a cheap loudspeaker or PA speaker to put under my hood to yell at people. I was looking at options but it seems everyone uses a PA system hooked to a CB. I dont have much interest in a CB and was wondering if there is a speaker and a microphone that is an easy hookup and can give me the option to just work the speaker and talk through it. Can anyone help me out ?

Unfortunately, I think a Chicken Band radio is the easiest solution to your problem.
The PA facility built into most CB's is the answer to your problem.

It may not be the only option, but I think it will be the easiest and the cheapest. I would install one, not wire up an antenna (you wouldnt use it if you just want the PA part) and just leave it switched to PA. Then you can always use the CB later if you wanted to do that.
