paint discoloration from cleaner question opps or can be saved???

i was cleaning the 4runner and used the oil eater product. they say if you let dry on aluminum or painted surfaces it may caused paint discoloration. I might have let it dry to long before i got to it and have drippy streak marks running down the areas i used. is this permanent or can it be buffed out ????

Make sure you use a finishing buffing compound. If your buffing compound is too course you'll have a whole bunch of ugly swirls in your clear coat. I know from experience... it's FUGLY in the sunlight when you get those swirls
