Painted 6 spoke wheels

has anyone had any luck painting their 6 spoke t4r wheels? or any 16" Toyota rim for that matter? should I get another style Toyota wheel or im thinking about just spraying mine gunmetal and i wanted to get some opinions first. i was planning on getting some of the 17" tundra split spokes but i cant find any and it would cost another $300 for tires. also what paint do you use for this?

I painted my wheels recently and i used Rustoleum Wheel spray paint, graphite was the color. It's been a couple months now and the paint still looks good.

do you have a picture of them? how many coats? did you have to use a clear coat or anything like that?
