Painting center caps

Won't all the paint pucker-up if I hit the caps with primer after sanding?

Just a very light coat on the area with exposed plastic after sanding, just enough to make a thin base for the new paint to stick.

My caps looked just like yours. Cleaned them up and shot them with primer and then some Rustoleum bumper and trim paint. Mostly because that is what I had around but I think it turned out decent. Matches the front bumper and flairs. Certainly better than before.

I got tired of mine looking like crap and them off and sprayed with Rustoleum high heat silver #270201 (because that's what I had on the shelf) and they came out remarkably well. The wheels are dirty but the color is quite close. Paint is cheap also.
