Painting exterior emblems

Whats the best to use besides plastic dip that will hold up to the elements?

Yank them, dump them in bleach (it eats the chrome) for a few days (changing as necessary). Then whatever paint tickles your fancy + clear.

Any certain primer needed to spray on the chrome that i can buy local?

I just used Dupli color pain and primer. make sure to scuf and it took 3 coats of color and 2 coats of clear and it has held up really well

I media blasted my toyota emblem and peeled off the whole chrome layer to bare plastic/resin/whatever it is made of. Then used krylon fusion satin black. It has held up so far but not like I can say I have had it on for very long to really give a good review of it.
