Painting the roof.

Few years back my 4runner had a battle with a parking gate. Needless to say 4runner won the battle but got some scars on the roof that starting to turn red.
I'm thinking to spray paint the roof and patch the dents? I don't know where to start and my knowledge is very limited.
I got a few pics, places where it has a silicon is a concern for water getting in.

I would suggest going to youtube and entering search terms: diy dent and paint repair.

If you only need a home repair job and not a professional finish then there are plenty of videos on the subject that should get you started.

Roof painting

Hello... I am also facing a dilemma when it comes to selecting the right paint for my roof. Could you please share the type of paint you have used? Although I came across a specific roof-paint during my search, I still have doubts. Since I have no prior experience in roof painting, I genuinely appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide.

I would just paint it with aerosol color matching automotive paint. You can get paint made that matches your color code. :)

Your going to have to sand it down first and fix the issues that are there before painting with the matching color.
