You know I'm not really sure.I think just googleing something.

I have a ton of little things to fix on my truck and am always looking for info.

Now that I think about it, it may have even been a link on yotatech.

My girlfriend and I try to go to liberty's as often as possible man. It cool to hear you work there. My truck is usually hidden behind my bosses massive 2500 ram so you may not have noticed it.

Also one of my buddys who used to work with me has a green 2001 on aftermarket wheels and at's so you may have seen his truck up there too.

We need to get a columbia meet going.

Yeah I've definitely seen the green one before. There are a few of us who are trying to get a meet together sometime this summer at gulches, there is a thread in the meet section (almost all the way to the bottom of the first page). I'd be down to just get up sometime and check out your ride though, maybe help you with some of the minor things you said need fixing. What are those things btw?
 
The minor things are both the front and rear cupholders need to be replaced along with the console lid.

Not so minor things are my valve cover gaskets need to be replaced and my hood and roof could use a respray.

I also need to install the 99 tall springs I got at some point.

I'd be down to hang out some time here. I live right near that sonic on assembly. Thats always a good place to meet up.

Hey man, brush guard looks good! Ever think of getting someone to fab up a bracket?
It sucks you're going to be out of town when we meet at gulches. Maybe we can do another one before fall comes around.
 
man i keep thinking i dont like the look of brush guards anymore but black on black just looks awesome!! haha
good luck trying to find a way to secure that thing.
 
Carolina - We will definitely have to plan another trip sometime later maybe once it gets a little cooler!

TRD - haha funny you say that I've actually got the sides off like yours right now, I like that look as well and it helps with the shaking while I'm searching for a bracket.
 
Well a little update... decided to take the "braces" off today, only took me a month to decide I didn't like it. I'm much happier without it on, plus I need a new battery asap and could use the money from it for the battery as work has been really slow. Still waiting to get the lift on and that is now my main priority (I think)! :confused:

I didn't mind it as much w/o the light guards but after seeing what happen to carolinas skid plate on his recent outing my decision was made.
 
truck looks good man, we really do need to get an sc meet up... theres alot of us from chas, cola, and surrounding areas on here. my runner is plasti-dip ready and waiting on someone who knows what theyre doing with that stuff!
 
Update!

Got some new goodies this past week...

Tundra split 5's thanks to superman3043, now I just have to wait on taxes for some new rubber! Thinking I'm probably gonna go with 265/70/17 BFG Rugged Terrains, anyone have any experience with these? I've heard mixed reviews but most of them seem to be good.

They're in that little bag under the right gasket with the plug gaskets and washer seals. Should be an interesting time as this will be my first attempt at some "serious" engine work. I'm gonna get my buddy to guide me along as he's pretty good with engines, and I don't have to pay him $500+!

Guess I'm gonna be the guinea pig for the Rugged Terrains on a 3rd gen. :lookout:
 
Those Tundra's will look good on your 4runner. I've seen the Rugged Terrains on an FJ and they looked good. They guy said he liked them and were great for a DD with the occasional off-roading. I might entertain the idea of them next tire depending on reviews.
 
My plasti-dipped emblems were starting to show some wear so I decided to paint them. I was trying to find an actual black pearl paint that I've seen some guys use but couldn't so I ended up with Model Master black metallic that I found at a local hobby shop. Just did the front one as a sample since it was the easiest to take off. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, it looks a lot better than the plasti-dip and will hopefully last longer.

Also shot some on the tundra center cap emblems, trying to get everything for the lift and tires before I put em on... its killin' me!
