^Thx but I dont think there would be any need for an alignment for a 'pan-hard lift?'.
No, you're totally right. I jacked up the coilovers after getting an alignment and that is the reason, so yes I do need an alignment.Neither do I, but you've got some nasty camber in your last picture of the front end. It appears to be sitting level but I could be wrong.
I suck at updating.I had 8 wraps and drop bracket on right body side.Couldnt stand the ride.~original[/IMG]![]()
So i read this post installed 7.5 wraps and moved bracket to left axle side. The ride is near factory, other than the wide tires.

Well i left my SD card in my computer yesterday, I was just so excited to go wheeling after installing my pan-hard lift bracket?! lol
So since I had a camera but no memory card on the trail I decided just to lift it again with the forklift. Here are some pics!
I am running 255/85/16 right now, and I am seriously considering going up to 295/75/16 for my next tire, but as you can see from the pics that the back-spacing on my rims are perfect for 255s, but I would probably have to trim an inch outta the wells just to make sure they clear w/o rubbing since the 295s are about an 1.5inches wider. I know I could go with 285s, but my philosophy is never go smaller...go BIGGER!!!
Oh, and 'that is what she said', too! And 'she' is my rig!
A few pics of her all cleaned up too.
I know I'm reviving a dead thread here, but I'm curious how your panhard lift bracket has held up over time. Looked like you had that guy pretty well braced.
Hey man,
I just have to say thank you for reviving this thread! I now own builditbreakit 's 4Runner, I have not changed anything on the rear suspension and the left side pan hard bar relocation ("lift"?) has held up really well, I wheel the heck out of the runner and haven't had a single issue with it. I bent a track bar at one point and thought it may be the pan hard bar but just replaced the track bar and back to smooth riding it went. Having ridden in a normal drop bar setup with a similar runner I will say that mine seems a little more solid in hard corners (I drive the thing like a racecar...)
Cheers!
I know I'm reviving a dead thread here...
Actually kind of prefer it when older threads get revived. Helps keep commonly discussed topics consolidated...atleast it makes it easier for me to revisit them when needed.
I've read through most of the threads out there on adjustable panhard bars vs panhard drops vs location of the panhard drop vs just leaving it stock & have discussed it with toytec & SS on a couple occasions back when i was in the market for a lift. I have a pretty good grasp on the advantages/disadvantages of each but never decided which way i wanted to go with it...so as of now my adjustable bar and drop are still in the box. Since my 4runner seems to be handling fine with just the stock bar, for my current driving purposes, I didnt feel the need to rush the install. I can appreciate that topics like this may never have a definitive answer but its nice to have updates or new/current experiences from other individuals since driving habits, conditions, & rig setups will all vary a bit. Helps me weigh out the pros & cons of each....or over analyze it like i do with most projects i get involved in.
Im going to do the 3" panhard bar lift. Then I want to install an adjustable panhard bar and reconnect the front sway bar with some disconnects. I hope this makes long mountain pass highway trips a little more easy on the family.

I'm heading this route as well. I've already got the SS adjustable panhard bar and even with my aftermarket gas tank skid I can bash the driveshaft into the skid. Raising the axle side of the bar not only gets the bar flatter but also allows you to shorten the bar itself. Both of these will help with gas tank interference.
