Is the paracord on some kind of quick release slip knot? It would be cool if you could pull on it to undo it so its actually usable on the trail.

I can dig it..some one on here did it to their steering wheel which I thought was real cool

Thanks guys..

I've thought about doing the handles as well. I think it's time to redo the steering wheel though as it's gotten pretty dirty and the color doesn't really match anything in my interior. Never really did to begin with lol. I think I'm going to go with dark colors this time so dirt doesn't show as much.

They use those for memorial bracelets to hold dog tags for fallen brothers.

I've made a couple of those in the past.

One tip I can give you, if you want a tighter weave, take out the inners of the paracord. Run a warm blade(or iron) over the colored portion, pressing it. When you make the weave, pull it tight.

I did my driver handle, Comes undone easy. My guess is I will lend it to someone in need before I actually need it, at least that's where my last rope went when a guy lost his mattress of his truck when his rope gave way

We'll if I ever had to use it for some reason I want it to be full strength,550lbs.

I wrapped my handles in cord last spring to cover up some stains on the handles. Nothing as fancy as the OP's, but I think they turned out cool. I like to keep the interior simple.

That looks like a comfortable handle. I like the minimalist look.

I like the cobra braid, is does undo fairly easy. I never thought of doing it to my steering wheel that is a great idea, my wheel looks like crap and Iv cleaned it several times. I was thinking of road bike bar tape.

I like that a lot!!! Also what kind of mount is your phone in?

Thanks! It works pretty well and has stood up to plenty of passengers using them.

Ram Mount X-Grip with suction cup mount. Hands down the most useful thing I've ever put in a vehicle. It holds my phone dead still even over rough terrain, and the suction cup is extremely strong. It's only fallen off once or twice in the 8 months or so I've had it; and I never take it off.

How do you tie it off while keeping the clean look?
I just tied a clove hitch to start, wrapped the handle, and tied another clove hitch to finish it off. Extremely easy knot to tie, the trick was just to make sure everything is VERY tight.
