Hello everyone,
I recently bought a '99 4x2 Limited for a knock around vehicle. I was changing the fluid today and noticed my tranny had a slight leak from the following location:

This is on the drivers side of the tranny. It is the plug/blank that is above the wire harness above the gear position sensor. It appears to be a plug or blank to fill the hole, but I am not sure. Any ideas what this is and what it does? I would like to unbolt the one bolt that is holding it in and put some RTV on it to stop the leak. But I want to know exactly what it is before I screw something up.
