Parts For S&W Revolver .357 MOD-586 ????

I will ask. I took the time to cut and weld the frame. Then a ground it smooth, and blued it. From more than a foot away you cannot tell it was damaged.
You are right. S&W said to throw it away when I called. So just to prove a point, I fixed it myself.

In the first pic the only damage you can see is the trigger guard being blown apart. It also has a damaged trigger, main spring, and cover plate... But you cannot tell from the picture.

Gotcha, nice job! So what's the story behind it getting blown apart?
My uncle lives in the northwest and is an avid hunter. He packs a revolver on his hip for emergencies. This was his side arm for quite a while, then 12 years ago he was out hunting with his wife and son and he shot a big buck. For some reason he took off his pistol and tossed it in the floor of his truck. Later when he went to get in the truck he went to pull the rifle out of the seat and some how discharged it shooting the revolver. The rifle was a 7mm.
I have heard this story several times and each time it's a little different. But it forced the trigger forward, blew the trigger guard apart, bent the handle, cracked the trigger hold pin. All the internal parts are on the way from S&W. lets hope it all works well.
