pass dash airbag replacement

I searched the 3rd gen forum here and googled it, but nothing came up for changing out the passenger side dash air bag.

Can I change it without removing the dash?

I've already replaced the steering wheel airbag and controller and now just need to know the process to change the dash airbag on my 97 4Runner.

If you can provide some info that would be awesome! I've been daily driving my 4Runner to work and would like to get it done tonight ASAP.

Thanks!!!

Yes you take it out from above the glove box. Not hard to do, but remember to disconnect your battery before unplugging your airbags

I unplugged the battery ground first.

This is how I got it out;

After removing the glove box, dash brace, glove box cover, etc.

Have to loosen the passenger side of the dash and pull it out just a little bit. The reach under the dash cover for the airbag, rotate the airbag clockwise to make it vertical, and pull it through.
