Passenger Dead Pedal?

Why does passenger need any pedals, dead or alive?

In the rocky desert you get thrown around a lot in the cabin. This simply helps the passenger brace better. The driver has the steering wheel and at least a place to put their foot. In the wrangler allll of the passengers loved to have that pedal.

I was in a bad accident (hit by a drunk) back in the 90's in a Mustang GT. My legs and feet were flung around like a rag doll. If there was something in the way like this foot rest with sharp edges I think my feet and ankles would have been hurt a lot more. For this reason I would not want it in my vehicle.

Should go along nicely with a faux steering wheel as well...

(My wife wants to know if you all actually wheel your rigs. Ha)

"What is a Dead Pedal? This bolt-in Dead Pedal is now adjustable forward and backward for your comfort. M.O.R.E. has a new product for enhancing your comfort level while driving your Jeep. This new easy bolt-in Dead Pedal helps with leg fatigue that many of us get while driving when you do not have a place to support your left foot. The Jeep JK dead pedal bolts into existing holes (no drilling required) and comes powder coated."

I think it is for resting the driver's left foot but the picture makes no sense.
