passenger floor soaked

just came back from Ruidoso, NM. Im been hearing like a water noise rushing around from the engine comparment or around the feet area on the inside. This is a new noise. Picked up the passenger floor mat and the carpet is soaked. Is this a heater core related problem? (Does not smell like engine coolant). I did take some bumpy trails did a drainage hose come off its designated area? Where are these located? Do i need to pull up the carpet to access them?

Sounds to me like your AC condensation drain line is stopped up.

ok, i pulled up the carpet, there is a black hose running from a white plastic box, runs along the feet area and into the fire wall. This hose is dry. I peeked around the white plastic box (Do not know what this actually is, sorry) and under it running close the the floor panels I can see almost a steady drips. I can also see drips maybe coming from higher up maybe and maybe running to the bottom of this white box. Is this still maybe hose blockage, or maybe something cracked from the trails in the mountains? This white plastic box that Im talking is in the middle lower behind the dash.

Start the truck and run the AC. After a few minutes, look in the passenger side front wheel well closest to the firewall where the frame rail runs. You should see the end of a rubber hose hanging above the frame rail-this is the AC condensation drain. If there is no water dripping from this, stick a piece of wire a few inches up into the hose a few times to see if you can unclog the drain.

Well, Y'all are not going to believe this... I took off the hose that runs from the white box to the firewall. The hose had dirt of course but get this. 3 sunflower seeds, shells and all! I bought the 4runner used with 90,000, the 3rd owner. Dont know how this could happen, but I suppose anything is possible. The dripping seem to stop where from where I spoke of early. Would getting a complete coolant flush help out any?

Coolant flush won't help the problem. It is the condensation from the A/C cooling the interior. Clean the tube as rjb75 said.

This hose has nothing to do with the engine cooling system so a flush would not help with this issue. Did you happen to try to blow into the hose to see if it is now free of any blockages? If it is now clear, I would reconnect the hose, mop up the water on your floor/carpet the best you can and drive it for a couple of days. I bet your floor will be dry.

So all that water coming out of the tank of that white box is condensation? That was quite of bit of water! I took off the hose and completely clean the crap out of it in the house. The water was and still quite dirty inside the white box. Sucks about the carpet, mildew will start soon. I was thinking the A/C used the engine coolant just as the heater does. So a coolant flush wouldn't help the A/C. Thank you

Put some fans inside your car and see if you can get the carpet dried out before mildew sets in. Worked for me when my basement got flooded.

That is correct-the AC does not use the same coolant that the radiator does. If that was the case, the fluid on your rug would have been pink or red.

A few years back my truck was parked in an underground garage that flooded which soaked the carpet in my GM K1500 truck. I dried out the carpet but a few days later the stench started to become overwhelming. I pulled up the carpet and the insulation/sound dampening was completely soaked. I pulled it all out and had it professionally cleaned.

My newly installed windshield leaked and was soaking my passanger side floor. Once that was sealed back up, no issues. Some installers like to throw away a trim piece if it does not come apart easily enough for them.

Thank you for everybody's comments. I cleaned the white tank the best as I could, and the hose. the west Texas heat I believe got the carpet, sound deading dry. Again, thank you for th help.
