passenger front window on my 94 4runner will power roll down but not up. i have replaced the window motor/ regulator assembly, as well as the driver window switch assembly and passenger window switch. if i use jumpers and reverse the two wires at the window motor and push the window button down, it will roll up. seems like im loosing power on one of the wires running to the window motor. any ideas?

Yup. The wires at the door jamb will break. Sucks to get to them to repair, but my first project had a problem with the window, and that was the repair. In fact, I had a couple of wires going bad, so if I pulled on them, it would activate the power locks.

I don't know if it's the best way, but I got to it by disassembling the door panel and disconnecting the wires to everything in the door. Remove the kick panel and whatever you can in that area, and then by pulling the loom out of the door, and getting a little slack behind the kick panel, you may be able to repair them. Basically the breaks are right at the frame or just past it between the frame and the door.

Good luck!

ok cool i will have to try that very soon. ive gotten good at getting the door panel off and back on. kick panel should be much easier. sounds like that is where the problem exists. i figured there might be a common area to check.
