Passenger seat adjustment switch?

I have a 2004 Sport with leather seats. The passenger seat has a horizontal toggle switch for some adjustment. My passenger once could not feel an effect nor could I. Nor could I find it in the book. Does anyone know what it does? I do hear something when I press it either way :)

thx

Sounds like Lumbar support? you should feel it in your lower back.

Wierd thing is, I didn't think the passenger seat got that option only the drivers...

I know Lexus has began to put in passenger seat lumbar support , but I don't think Toyota did. Could you take a picture of the switch so we could be sure? Like sharp4runr said, it sounds like lumbar support. That is weird because there is no passenger lumbar support on the 2005.

I know some 4Runners in the southeast had port installed leather and passenger lumbar support, that might be what it is.

Yes, mine came from a port in FL and had leather installed there. I was supposed to get the perforated leather which I thought only came in the Sport. It must be lumbar -- just not too noticable ;-) I was also under the impression from several salesman that the side impact air bags didn't come on the Sport until I picked up my 4Runner and noticed the new 2004 brochures featuring a Sport with side impact air bags (sale manager then told me its a long wait).
