Passenger side floorboard wet !

Location of water leak was not clear so I stuffed the edge of the carpet with paper towels then dumped a bunch of water on the windshield to simulate a downpour and checked for wet spots on the paper towels.

Did not detect a leak from dumping water on the windshield, but then dumped water at different locations until found that this rust hole in the passenger front (notice antenna cable) is letting water into the cabin:

Bump-Condensation under Passenger Side Carpet

Hey All, please excuse reviving this old thread again but I’m having a similar issue. After running my ‘97 4runner there is condensation under the passenger side floormat. Seems to be warmth emanating from under the floor and that seems to be causing condensation. I removed the mat on that side which seems to allow it to evaporate. Is it the exhaust that’s perhaps causing the heat? I haven’t yet checked the AC line but suspect it isn’t that...but could be wrong.

Passenger side wet floor, my first thought is always going to be the AC drain line.

Most likely a clogged ac evaporator drain. But to answer your question heat from the exhaust will not cause moisture in the cab.

In addition to ac condenser check firewall grommets . Also a water hose and a flash light. Then soak the antenna grommet, windsheild, sunroof one at a time and check.
