Passenger side hid bulb won’t turn on sometimes

Just recently started having an issue where the passenger side bulb won’t come on so I have to open the hood and unplug the light bulb from the wirimg harness and plug it back in and it works
I have a morimoto xb 35w system with 6000k bulbs only low beams
And today I noticed when I did it that my amber running light stayed on with the low beam and on the drivers side the running light shut off when I turned on the low beam

Funny thing, I just had this happen on my truck also. Pulled up at my destination Friday night, noticed the passenger bulb was out. Fired the truck up last night to drive home and presto, both lights were working. Same system as yours, Morimoto XB35, 4.5k AMP retrofit system running in the stock headlight housing. Wired direct to the battery with the TRS/Morimoto relay kit. This kit has been installed just about 1 yr.
Overall thoughts: The light output is ok, much better than the H9's I had been running, but I am not 'wowed' by it. I am not sure if this is more a factor of the kit itself of the limitations of the stock projector that is designed for a halogen bulb. Warm up times seem slow to me, but once they are hot the light is steady and the color is good (my 4.5k's look very white, no hint of blue once hot).
I am tempted to mod my headlights for the Morimoto 4.0 projectors in an attempt to improve the low beam output and to get the full high beam effect of a bi-xenon. To date I remain on the fence personally.

check all the plugs to the ballast and bulbs, sometimes the metal female ends is not fully seated on the male plug. also the Toyota with projectors take h11B bulbs for aftermakert hid kit, if its the regular ones h11A you will get a ground shadow effect. a full retrofit is still recommended, youll see a big difference when you compare halogen to plug and play to full retrofit.

I thought I had some .02 to put in until you mentioned the amber markers... I definitely would think that's a wiring issue of some sort then, I am interested to see what the solution will be!

Though on our family's Lexus IS running HIDs, sometimes the bulbs can go bad prematurely based on what they are and a "sometimes turn on, sometimes don't" effect is what we experienced. Changed the bulbs and presto everything was fine.

I put some dielectric grease in the connectors from the bulb to the ballast wiring harness and adjusted the rubber boot that seals the connections. I haven’t had the issue again yet but it’s only been a few days and hasn’t gotten too cold again yet
As far as the amber light I replaced both amber bulbs in both sides and now the lower amber bulb is on all the time, even with my headlights on and I’m assuming this is how it’s supposed to be and I’ve just never paid attention before?
As far as a retrofit, I will most likely never try to do one again after The nightmare I had trying to get morimoto d2s projectors to replace some projectors in spec d housings I had gotten as a gift since I now have close to $500 of junk sitting in my garage

Happened again tonight when the temperature dropped
I’m going to contact morimoto about the issue. I’ve seen on other forums it could be a sign of a bad ballast or relay.

I had a similar issue with a Philips HID bulb and thought it was the ballast or relay - it would happen more often when it got cold. When I changed the bulbs to H11 for my 06+ projector swap the problem went away. It was a bad bulb all along.
