Pcv valve

Noticed today that my pcv valve is leaking some oil where the hose connects to it. The valve is only a few months old. Should my engine be pushing a decent amount of oil out through the valve or is there something wrong with it? I can put a better clamp on the hose to keep it from leaking, just seems like more oil is going through the valve lately.

Do you have a V6 or V8 and what brand PCV did you use?

I have a v8 and I bought a pcv from the dealership because I heard auto part store pcv valves were no good.

V8. Used an oem Toyota pcv valve from the dealership.

Remove Pcv valve and ensure the ball moves when you blow into it and also stops air from fully pushing through..?

Is the pcv a 1 way valve? Guessing air should only go through it I blow on the threads end? Am I correct in saying that if I blow on the end that the hose connects to, no air should go through?
