PDFs for 4th Gen Fender Liners

I discovered my run of the mill work Xerox copy machine did 11x17 and we had 11x17 paper. For those of your with office type jobs that "allow" you to print personal things make sure you check out your large copy/printer. I don't mind paying $2 to a copy shop to print it up but I do mind stopping off at one and waiting 5-30 mins in line.

So I just did this. Couple things I'd like to add for anyone thinking about doing this--

I initially went with 1/8" buna rubber. Bigger is better right?

Finding replacement fasteners is a royal PITA. I first tried the tap & bolt method with and M8 tap, but found out some holes were already larger than 8mm.

Then I tried finding the fasteners suggested here. Looked around at home depot, found some fasteners, but they were a dollar a piece (no thanks).

Ultimately, I got fed up with the fasteners and decided to go with the 1/16". I was pleasantly surprise when I compared with OEM and found the the 1/16" was a hair thicker. Also much easier to cut.

Cut some out yesterday and just tested one on today and it looked amazing now I just got to do the rest. I used 1/16 Grainger Vinyl Rubber and some plastic rivets to hold it in place. Thank you! Really save me some money. Spent only $14 for everything

I had to replace mine recently, I bought this below and it worked great, 1/16" so the old fasteners still fit. If you need to do both sides, order 2 sheets.

I used some oil resistant rubber from Grainger:

GRAINGER APPROVED Rubber,Vinyl,1/8 In Thick,12 x 24 In - Rubber Sheets and Strips - 1MXU1|360-1/8B - Grainger Industrial Supply

"Oil-resistant Vinyl Rubber, Plain Back, 1/8" Thk, 12" X 24", 80a Durometer "

Part number on grainger.com is: 1MXU1

I think I put around $20 bucks into it (I think 2 sheets did it??? 1 sheet is ~ $11.50 ).




Also, people are cutting up Rubbermaid trash cans, or using trimmable floormats.

Thanks for the information and templates. I just replaced all of my fender liners today. Used this rubber:

Buna-N, 1/16" x 24" x 24". One sheet is enough for all four pieces and I was abel to re-use the fasteners. Quality feels better than stock. Should last another 10 years!

1/8 was too thick for me, I believe.

Yes, I got the 1/16", is plenty strong and works with stock fasteners. The pictures looks thicker than it is, but 1/16" is thicker than the stock rubber.
