Pedal commander vs Sprint booster?

I went pedal commander since I can control it through my phone and not have to mount a controller for it. I had on in my 15 mustang and both times it was a huge difference. The one for the 4 runner has more settings and is way more noticeable. I leave it on city plus 2. It gets way to jumpy fore me higher than that.

To give you a little peace of mind, I've sold 55 sprint boosters for 5th gen 4Runners, 2010-2019 in 2 months! It's unbelievable, meaning I never thought I'd sell that many. The thing works. I've also sold the Pedal commander, but with phones and bluetooth I've had a few issues with customers on those. I tend to lean towards the SB (sprint booster) as it's fully hardwired solution that I just think is more reliable. Again, I can get you either one.
They do their job, good to hear. What's crazy is, the 5th gen trucks have more delay in the gas pedal than the 4th gens! I have multiple customers that have a 4th gen and a 5th gen and they've all told me their 5th gen had way more delay than the 4th gen. Both of these customers bought TWO sprint boosters, one for each truck, then issue solved. It just blow my mind how the newer 5th gen has more delay than the older truck!

I just took a Pedal Commander out of my 4R. It worked great as far as the pedal response, truly amazing, but the Bluetooth starting causing issues with my radio/nav and caused to start the reboot nonsense again. Took the PD out, reset the radio, no more rebooting. I am considering the SB now because of the no BT.

Sprint booster vs Pedal Commander
I've had the Sprint booster installed since Nov 18 and it has made driving the 4runner a much better experience. Simple install, many modes and could be removed easily if needed.

Never heard of the sprint booster. I was thinking of doing a pedal commander or I seen this today never heard of this one either.

Yes, thank you for chiming in! That's what can be scary. This is a non issue with the sprint booster.
Yea, it's crazy, really how much better it makes it. After you put it on you can never take it off, as it will feel like a slug.

Did you guys also know you there is an anti-theft built into the sprint booster? You can set it before you go, and if someone ever took your car keys, or if you want to play a joke on someone, when they try to start you car and press the gas pedal, nothing will happen! LOL, it's great when you're at a friends and tell someone, "Hey, move my car please"

I had to take the gas pedal off in order to depress the top wire harness clip. It's just two 10mm bolts and took maybe 90 seconds, but most people don't have to remove the pedal. Then I was able to remove the stock wire harness, plug in the Sprint Booster, then plug the stock harness back into the SB. Drilled one small hole matching the wire size just below the empty tab, fed the control switch up through the back of the tab, replaced the tab and secured the switch to the tab face with the included double sided tape. Zip-tie or tape up any extra control wire underneath, and done. The whole thing took maybe 15 minutes, and that was with removing the gas pedal. It's so easy, even I could do it...

No worries. This does not and cannot be detected by any scan tool, and any plug in tool the dealer uses. This doesn't do anything to the ecu, just boosts the signal to the drive by wire module. That's what's great. I've sold quite a few already for the 2019's. If for some reason you don't want them to see it, just unplug the controller (some choose not to even plug it in, it's not needed once you set it, you can coil it up like a aux cable and throw it in the glove box) it's connects to the sprint booster like an aux cable would.
