What winch did you end up with?

I read in this thread, I think, that someone with a smittybilt had fitment issues due to the solenoid on top. I was looking at the 98510 for next upgrade.

[MENTION=119442]tristero[/MENTION] and [MENTION=163548]KNorm92[/MENTION] I have the XRC with the top mount solenoid, with the remote controller port facing up. This does fit but you do need to bed the brackets back that hold the aluminum cooling line that crosses right to left.
Also with the solenoid box mounted with the remote controller port facing up, you will need to make an adapter because you cannot get your controller connected without removing the underhood plastic cover.

My winch came with the bumper, but ideally you want the wireless remote winch (98510 I believe) or Warn equivalent for ease of use.

[MENTION=119442]tristero[/MENTION] I ended up going with the Smittybilt X2O 10K Waterproof Synthetic Rope 98510 (this winch has the wireless remote and is a bit more waterproof than the cheaper models). I had absolutely no fitment issues and my solenoid is mounted directly on top & centered. I also ended up putting the Cascadia 4x4 Flipster V2 license plate mount on. In MN it's required by law that you have a front plate. It looks pretty BA and swings up to give easy access to the winch - super solid piece of hardware.

Bummer sorry I couldn’t get to you in time. You’ll need to figure out some way to secure that center support. Otherwise your headlights and upper grill will be super flimsy. I ran it that way for a few months and the headlights would vibrate over small bumps. You could see it in the lighting pattern while driving

The headlights "should" attach but I don't have whatever plastic bracket fits to that center cross piece. Ended up using zip ties for the headlights for now. Seems pretty sturdy, but I'll keep an eye on it.

The main issue right now is the Pelfreybilt bumper is not symmetrical. I have a finger gap on the right side. The left side is matched at the fender but it's rubbing up against the headlight assembly due to the cut being off. I have to go out and drop the left side a bit more before it's driveable.

Second issue is the fog light harness that Baja Designs sent me. They just don't match up to any of the other 5th gen write-ups and are about 1/8" short from connecting to the OEM harness.

If you wheel your rig I really recommend you leave at least 0.25-0.50 in if gap between your fenders and bumper. It looks like crap but it will save you from cracked headlights and dented body panels. Our frame and body flex A LOT off-road

Thanks for the warning.

I fixed the gap just a minute ago to be more equal on each side at about 1/2". I drove it to the office downtown this morning and later to West Oakland bart to head to our SF office. The Oakland streets were a good trial run haha.

I need to get it to my parents driveway where it's flat and cycle the suspension and check out the gaps compressed and at droop next.

Does anyone know how much these were when in production? A raw steel one popped up on Craigslist out of my area and am wondering if it's worth shipping up. I've been eyeing a Relentless Fab bumper but to get to Alaska is roughly $2400 all in. One of these is for sale in Seattle and I am contemplating. They look so good!

Talk to Dan at Green Tree Fab in Anchorage. I got a price for a Prinsu Roof rack and his shipping was $100 less than any place online.

Looks like you are missing the 'L' bracket that attaches to the bolt to the left and back a bit to that bolt hole.

Belay that; it looks like yours is a bit different than mine. The nut/bolt that is there is about 1.25" long by 1/2" I believe.

This is what it’s supposed to look like. The bolt size is the same every other bumper manufacturer uses as it’s a common attachment point. While you’re in there I would check your frame mounts. This bumper is notorious for cracking right at the frame rails. Mine was doing exactly that and I had to retire it because of it.

Youre right it does look a bit different. Maybe the older designs were better? I got my bumper right before they went out of business so I'm sure at that point they were already taking shortcuts
