have you guys done anything to mitigate shear forces on that section of the bumper? I assume the plating there is 1/4" and the tab is through welded?

What kind of warranty options will be available (theoretically) to customers that experience stress fractures or deformation at the recovery tab?

Bwaahaaahaaa! Thought it was proper given the current pointless battles in other threads. Some TRD Pro owners probably didn't think this bumper would even fit their rig since it was not listed specifically for a Pro.

Anyway, back on top!

Eh, the Pro series has done wonders for Toyota's 4Runner sales this year, and as I've said before that keeps the platform very viable and makes accessory manufactures put some priority on us (read: 4Runners in general).

I don't do rock crawling, I'll go blasting through the desert, so approach and departure angles are less a concern, but being able to survive an animal strike at 50mph on a back road is a concern.

I'm not entirely ready to swap out the front end, as I really do like the 2015's front grill, but I know I'll eventually bash it's face in on a rock and then the choice will be made.

Yea, I actually like the Pro along with all other T4R's. Just haven't figured out why some think it is a totally different vehicle altogether. You are right though, Toyota has sure marketed it well and they are selling them like crazy.

I think this new bumper will look great when done. I look forward to the full on pics and later reviews after it gets bashed on.
