its all about those used fj trail teams wheels, i can get them for 100 each or less. and with how i beat the hell out of my wheels id feel kind of bad if i had a nice set of SCS or XDs

Can't go wrong with any of these bumpers. I would vote CBI. Some nice looking welds IMO. Don't know how thick it is, but CBI stands for Can't Break It, so . . .

Here's a pelfreybilt with full hoops.
I love it, they said they would've done something for the body lift.
But I forgot to mention it to them, so that's on me.
Only little gripe I have, that's starting to fade more and more, is the cut out is a round one and really quite small.
I have rigid cubes and they have to be set begin the cut out.
But other than that, I love it!

Now looking at the full hoops it kinda looks better to fill out the sides. It looks pretty good though.

I vote DO. After ordering I received the bumper and sliders within a week. Great costumer service. Had trouble mounting her but that probably 100% from the front end wreck I got in 2 weeks prior hahaha. And the interior structure is very stout. It's like a spiderweb of steel back there. I did not know about the water fluid relocate kit but will most likely be ordering one soon.

• I wanted an aluminum bumper
• I like the cutout for a light bar
• I could pick it up (no shipping)
• I like being a little different.

I'm very happy with my choice. I think some PIAA lights will fit the cut out for the fog light.

Love my Demello

Just got my bumper from Demello. Did quite a bit of research and frankly there weren't many options. But luckily, Jason and his crew were on top of it already. Besides being a fantastically constructed bumper, the people there are amazing. Tiffany in the office is totally on the ball. They absolutely stick their promises regarding deadline and production and the lead time was about a week or so. I was particularly impressed because I had parts delivered from CBI and Budbuilt. All coordinated through Demello, powder coated by them so it all matched, and then installed. Absolutely excellent experience.

I don't think I plan on doing a body lift so that's out of the question. The washer fluid bottle could also be relocated with the '12+ tacoma relocate. How's your mpg with 150lbs of metal on the front end since we both have the v8?



And I'm also considering CBI as well.

Surprisingly, I didn't notice the weight of the bumper - if anything, it helped dampen my ride better. I was not expecting that.

I originally planned to, but never bothered to do the wiper reservoir relocation and I've been running my DO bumper for 3 years now with no problems. If you don't like the look of the white washer bottle hanging down behind the bumper, just get yourself some automotive trim-black spray paint, and paint everything (minus the heat exchangers) behind the bumper black. The washer bottle will blend in and you'll hardly ever notice it. When rocks and road debris start to chip the paint away just spray it again.

Demello!

I'm putting my vote in for a Demello. I ordered one earlier this year and it was at the shop in 5 days (Denver). They also hooked up a discount for being part of this forum.

In terms of the exposed washer bottle, me and the guys at the shop hit the finder liners with the heat gun and just zip tied it up, so the bottle's covered. Works pretty well.

I'm actually building a bumper right now and I'm 2 1/2 weekends in. if you never have welded before then it might not be worth it for you to build it your self. unless you plan on building sliders and roof rack too. if you on a budget like me your angle grinder is go to tool and metal shavings go everywhere.

if you pay a pro to weld, prep and powder coat then you are really close to the out the box cost. i like demello and you can pick it up yourself cause your in so cal. the only thing i didn't like about the DO bumper is that i wanted a light bar where the DO is. if you want that they might be able to cut it for you

Leaning towards DO myself since they're local and I can pickup. The cutout in the front doesn't bother me and I think it's one of the better looking bumpers in terms of angles and body lines.

That Shrockworks group buy is looking real enticing right about now. All these bumpers seem like really good choices. I don't think I can make a "wrong" decision going with any of them.

thats why you get the diy kit. i was just reminded this kit exists and i might call him tomorrow to see if the diy includes the new center section or not.

i contacted them a few days ago and i asked about this and they said its only for the fully built bumper the new center section does not come on the DIY yet.

They are all great bumpers. I personally went with SW, because of the cleaner lines and group buy. Any of them will definitely change the look of your vehicle! Let us know what you go with!
