For the past few weeks my ultragauge has been randomly telling me I have a pending misfire on cylinder 1. No CEL. It comes on at completely random times. Sometimes at start, sometimes up a hill on the highway, sometimes at a stop light, sometimes not at all. Completely random, and theres never any noise of feeling of power loss, all seems normal. Ive searched but cant really find any info on pending codes. How serious is this?
Ive swapped coils (original), spark plugs (NGK, 1 year old), and ran a full tank with 2 bottles of techron injector cleaner. Im wondering what to do next. Swap injectors and see if it moves? Replace injector? Ive also heard a motorvac can help clean things out real well. What should my next step be?
The cars a 97 LTD 3.4 V6 Auto 150K. I believe sometimes O2 sensors can be related to this but my O2 is a year old, NGK i believe. Spark plug wires are also a year old NGK's.
