I've owned 7 Toyotas (still have 2) and have logged over 1.25 million miles, including towing a boat weekly. I've done all my oil changes at 8-10k miles and I'll use Mobil1 or Pennzoil Platinum 99% of the time. Dont get too hung up on which brand is best.

While some will be horrified to hear this, your 4R or any other vehicle will last just as long using Walmarts Super Tech/proper viscosity/OCI - as it will using Pennzoil, Amsoil, Royal Purple or any other exotically priced motor oil.

I agree with you. At the end of the day, use the right viscosity and take care of your vehicle and you'll be good to go.
