Someone keyed my new Sport. I've only had it about a month or so!! From now on I'm spending every Saturday at the mall hiding under my truck with a Louisville Slugger!

I'll post some pics when I can look at it without my eyes crossing

im not psychotic but i have a 98(obviously not new) and im not even a fighter but id sure as hell hire a hitman to hunt the bastard down. im 18 and deal with a lot of immature kids from school that do stupid crap like that. one girl has a 99 limited runner and kids at school one day dumped salsa and mustard all over her car and when the cops rolled up the 3 girls had their pants down pissing on top of the car. <-- very true story. and then (this is the same girl) some more kids from school dumped an entire can of yellow paint over the car. needless to say it still looks great, some how theyve restored the black paint, they didnt repaint it cause i could still see yellow in the paint but just goes to show how little respect some ppl have for each others belongings. i dont care, someone come and fight me but dont touch my car:mad: . Im right there with you man, sorry about your crappy experience

Holy cow...that's some mean gals!

People who vandalize cars are useless and have horrible lives, karma will hit them, I've seen it plenty of times.

Sorry about your truck

I feel your pain TOMCAT69. About a month ago someone keyed my 2004 Acura TL. All the way around. I mean 4 doors, hood, trunk, fenders. I had to have the car repainted but it wasn't the same. To make a long story short, now I'm here. Traded the TL on a 05 Sport.

To me, they are no more than THIEVES, stealing paint from my truck. They do realize how much pain it causes to the owner, and that makes them happy.

Next time, when I see someone doing this on other's vehicle, I will not ignore it.

I never ignore this stuff. I cussed out some dude in the parking lot when he rammed a shopping cart into a car parked next to his car and started unloading his groceries.

oh man

oh man, someone keyed my car back in 2003 about 3 months after I had it. It was bad too. 2 streaks all the way into the door panels through the paint/primer. Body shop blended it for 850 (covered by insurance) but I had a $500 deductible. I dont know how bad yours is but with mine, I had to take it in over 10 times to the bodyshop cuz they couldn't get it right. Pisses me off. I feel your pain. You'll still be mad 2 years later. Like how I'm still mad now.

That's not what I envision...

I'd rather see a Peterbuilt hit them, but that's me. :D

I didn't want to deal with all that so I traded in the TL on my new 4Runner.

Mine's not quite as bad as some of your stories. It's about 5 in long, but I can't even look at it. I guess I'll wait for a nice day and try to compound it out.

I wish it were possible to load the back with car batteries and hook up jumpers to the frame. Then I'd park way out where no one innocent could get hurt and watch the "key-people" fry!

i have a battery(1) and some jumper cables, i guess we can hook a bunch together to get to a safe distance:D we could even start a club !! such as a neighborhood watch only it would be a car-keyer watch or something:p then on the 2nd tuesday of every month we can throw the caught vandals in the "shocker pit"(no copyright on that yet)

sadly the laws don't allow the car owners to equip their vehicles with any kind of alarm that will harm a car vandal, although a good idea what about rain:D you come outside of the store and the ground is blue and their are random people just flopping around like fish;):

south africa is the number 1 car jacking country, number 1 way to die, they have some pretty intense anti theft features, electric touch is 1 and the blow torch under the doors:)

That's just uncivilized.

Now if they were to be hit by a Freightliner, that would be perfectly acceptable. :D

So is there anything that can be done to fix it? Someone keyed my 04 sometime within the last 2 weeks (found it after washing the truck) - it's about 3 inches long going straight up - the body shop wants 400 to fix it.

Flamethrower

I'd hook this device up to a motion/vibration sensor to take care of the lowlifes. It's intended to thwart carjackers, but hey, a scumbag is a scumbag, and I'd see no loss and feel no sorrow. Cleaning the gene pool has been long overdue!

A VIDEO LINK IS INCLUDED AT THE URL BELOW THAT SHOWS IT IN ACTION ! :D

Flamethrower now an option on S. African cars

Is it deep? can you feel the paint dent in when you run your fingernail over the scratch? You can buff it only if it's on the surface. If it hits primer or the door panel itself, then unless you know how to blend paint/glaze it and stuff, that's the bodyshop's turf.
