I've seen these before, but I don't know what they mean... TB and WP? Throttle Body and Wrist Pin?

Anybody noticed the FJ roof rack on the 4runner?
this!!!
I hate the PNW, can't wait to move out of this looney bin ASAP. Horrible weather, terrible traffic and crowding, insane cost of living, and passive-aggressive hippie freaks everywhere. I suspect some of those may contribute to what we see on CL.
It's just as bad for Tundras (been looking for one) as well, here's some moron with a 2002 looking for $17.5k, sure buddy...
2002 Toyota Tundra - Black - Low Miles
So when is he going to take it out? I wanna go!
Sorry for double post (mobile). Well maybe I'll have some of my upgrades done by the time he's back.
Must be one of those ultra rare 5 speed manual Limiteds i keep hearing about.
Every time I read the "how many miles on your 4Runner" thread it reminds me how well the 3rd gens are built. Every time I see ridiculously high resale value prices it reminds me how the newer SUVs are severely lacking and people are finally realizing years later, that these trucks are worth the price. Finally, I realize how lucky I am to have one, because should something happen to the one I have, I will gladly pay $10k for another one. There simply isn't another SUV, of any age, that I feel could replace my 3rd gen.
I just have to ask, and being serious, how many miles would you accept on a 4x4 4Runner for around $10k? Anyone can answer. I'm not trying to corner you into something, or sell you a vehicle
I don't have first hand experience but, from what I am hearing, these are some semi-bombproof trucks.
ok so ive been helping a friend for the past few days looking at buying either a 3rd gen 4runner or a 1st gen tacoma, tacomas are way more spendy, so the 4runner is more what we are looking at. -for the savings in a 4runner you can buy a nice utility trailer to have the utilitarian uses of the tacoma, but its hard to make the tacoma a 4door enclosed vehicle -unless you buy a DC and then you are looking at almost double the cost of a 4runner, at least in this area...
so i have been finding that people are just down right crazy here in the PNW, im am beginning to realize just how lucky i was with my runner -clean title, average miles, thick book of records ect. for $5500. but all the ones here i have been seeing recently have been $7000+ with salvaged titles... no Fing way people. most of the people are in this category, owned less than a year and want to sell a salvaged title... that to me screams i bought it wrecked at auction and am trying to flip it fast to do it again... well yeah no thanks. i dont mind buying a salvaged title vehicle, but the owner needs to have owned it for a long time, ie like 5 years or more. i dont want someone elses problems, and im pretty sure my friend isnt into that either (i know he isnt).
1999 4Runner Limited AT, V6 4x4 129k (custom)
2000 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5 4x4 LIMITED -he said it was hit in the rear, but i can see front end issues and he replaced all that stuff... yeah i dont think it was hit in the rear...
this is one of the more reasonable ones;
1999 Toyota 4Runner 4WD 4X4 SR5 SUNROOF ALL OPTIONS
this one has a clean title, but still:
Toyota 4Runner limited 4x4 132k Mint Condition $8900 obo
another clean title:
1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4X4 6Cyl **5-Speed Manual***89,634 miles**
and it was worse a few days ago.. the market was fludded with salvaged titles with $8-9k prices...
