Yeah I had a full catback exhaust on my celica before and it was nice, but after driving the 4Runner I have been spoiled with the quiet cabin. I don't foresee an exhaust anytime soon...

It compliments the V8 perfectly...a V8 should be heard and the borla does it...it adds a nice rumble...i like that kind of thing...there is not much performance gain

I agree, I think Borla did a good job with adding some burble but it is far from obtrusive. You will get a little better throttle response but if its power your looking for its not going to be a huge difference. THOUGH, it will sound better and you might feel as though your going faster 
Having an exhaust on a Celica vs a 4Runner is night and day. The Celica is a 4cyl! Truck engines like to stay in the low rpm range so an exhaust on a truck generally is less obtrusive anyway.
Basically it comes down to your noise preference. The fact that your thinking about it would make me think you would like it though. If you think you might get an exhaust, you will definitely not be disappointed with the Borla.

I'm getting the Magnaflow
With my intake done already,
I'm planning on going with the Magnaflow around the same time I lift it and go with the 285's.
Hopefully I won't loose to much if any from going to the bigger tires by offsetting it with the extra power of the exhaust. The exhaust by itself helps power and milage a little.
The intake and exhaust together compliment each otehr and you actually pick up more power and milage, that is if you can keep your foot out of it.
It all comes down to personal preference, the v6's are quiet as hell until VVTI kicks in then you hear it, and running 65-80 w/ cruise on you will notice no difference in our runners. It's when you accelrate and let the truck breathe that you hear what you want.
Toyota knew how to enginer the truck, and the reason the power gain is minimal is due to it being mandrel bent from the factory, check it out.
The only power you really gain is from dropping the Big mufflers, plural, and going to one, higher flow muffler. You will notice, but its not a life changing experiance
Drone on the freeway in the six is not there, the 8's I've never rode in one wiht an exhaust so I can't speak for them.
