For those of you not fortunate to live in Colorado, I am sorry. Took the Minnow and Slave Labor #1 out for an overnight. Ran some pretty gnarly trails (no good pics), then blew something in my front diff on a water crossing. Didn't stop us from having a great time.

The views were awful.



Weather was awful.

So my diff was fine, just a broke a CV. Got it switched out. While I had it all apart, I decided to finally eliminate the ADD diff.

For anyone that has to do this, follow this link. It was SOOOO easy. Not sure why I put it off for so long.

I do not think I have not seen the minnow since before it was chopped. I have to say, I have never wanted a 2nd gen as bad as now. It looks great!

Like I said, can't keep anything looking nice. I banged the dent out while I had it off today, but I'll probably smash it up again.

The flares look good--I've always been partial to the finished look they give to a rig. The ones I really wanted were the wider "pocket" style, but I couldn't find any pre-made, and didn't feel like fabricating at that time. Your rig has undergone such an outrageous transformation!

Fiberglass take 2!!!

I don't think I posted a pic of fiberglass take 1, but let's just say it was FUGLY!

I think this looks much more better.



I know nothing about fiberglass, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Keep your fingers crossed, a buddy of mine blew the head gasket on his 2000 Camry. He's willing to sell it to me for $200. If I get, fix it and sell it, I'll have enough cash for my SAS and roll cage!

SCORE!!!! Got the Camry for $200! Ordering parts next week and hope to flip it with in the month.

Assuming I have about $2000 to spend after that, I plan on:

Sliders and custom rear bumper

OR

Regear to 5.29

OR

Get parts for SAS

OR

Get a custom roll cage

Decisions........

Honestly, this isn't even a question. Safety is always top on the priority list.

i vote parts for SAS. once you get that out of the way. you will find some way to get a roll cage, besides you wanna get it after if you finish doing what your gonna do to the body 1st

impatiently waiting to see a solid axle get hung under that thing!!!! i'm gonna shop for a 2nd gen that me and my 14yo son are gonna build together for his first rig once i'm done with my 3rd gen runner sas project (i only started at the end of march)! lol!!! figured we'll have his rig done by the time he gets his license. we have axles all rebuilt, geared and locked ready to go but just need the runner now. anyway, your runner looks sick!!! looking forward to see how it progresses.

i know exactly what you mean! that's the reason my runner has been sitting on jackstands in my shop since the end of march. too many ideas/plans...not enough money. one thing led to another and here i am $5000+ later trying to figure out how i'm gonna fund my marlin taco box, adapters and driveshafts. i'm sure you know as well as i do that these projects never end!!! there's always something else to upgrade.
