SHE MOVES UNDER HER OWN POWER!!

Took it for a ride last night, just around the block. Felt good, spring rates and valving feel perfect for the weight of the truck. Sways a bit, gonna have to pony up for a nice sway bar kit. Still need to bleed the brakes, probably just gonna double-pump it all the way up to my job and then just run it on the brake flush machine.

Death Wobble. Holy sh!t. I've experienced it once before on the bike but I was unusually calm getting it under control, but in the 4Runner...with no brakes and a little extra sway than I'm used to...WHOA. I think we have the upper link set too "long" so I gotta dial it back to bring my caster back into check...IIRC Scotty had his dialed in around 4 degrees of caster, we guestimated mine is set around 10 degrees. EEK! I'll be tweaking the upper link to flatten out the pinion and try to get this thing driveable so I can get some pics and such!

Yeahh you're gonna get a little sway...I'm already considering swapping my top coils out for 275's

A little positive caster and some toe-in and death wobble is gone up to 35mph. Nervous bringing it up any faster before I bleed the brakes and do a legit alignment. But I'm happy with it for sure! Taking it up to work tomorrow so I'll take some new pics of her in "action"

Thanks man. Yeah I started by painting the lip, then I sanded the center part down again and taped off the lip and sprayed the rest black...baking them in between coats...if you go to page 1, look for the sequoia wheel "chapter" and there's an in-depth writeup

upper link mount hits the panhard bar here...hmmmm

The axle is at 33 degrees when the rear wheel starts to lift

Front wheel is 32 inches from the ground when the rear wheel lifts...run through an RTI calculator I get a score of 882.66!

Also didn't get the alignment done because I spend 3 hours attempting (and failing) to bleed the brakes...Avi sent me his brilliant step-by-step, so we'll try again Monday night...

Yeah my boss was off yesterday, but just as I got it flexed out he walks in and goes..."what. the f*ck. is going on in my shop?" He loved it though...he was like "wow nice work"
Unfortunately we don't have a collision center at my job to test it out on....waiting for a junk trade-in or something lol

Not 100% eliminated yet...more positive caster helped but it's not totally cured yet...once I get it on the alignment rack and actually look at the measurements I'll be able to dial it in better

I've got the best brake pedal I've ever had.
[MENTION=12646]YotaFun[/MENTION] has the right method down to a science, plus the fact that my calipers were upside-down and the bleeders were on the bottom- swapped calipers and bled as per Avi and she's GOLDEN!

Alignment rack at my job is still broken so my truck is still wayy too darty, but more positive caster has the death wobble pretty much cured.
