Photo Timeline of my 4Runner {LOTS OF PICS}

Okay so the Toe is centered at 0*, I was able to get caster to +4.5* which is a few degrees short of where I wanted to be but it's in the positive so we're onto something...

Still getting death wobble on passenger front bumps around 35mph
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Addco rear sway bar is on order, along with some hardware to make disconnects. Marlin front driveshaft is custom ordered.

Is that the factory replacement rear Addco? If so, not really any way to get the stock location rear sway bar to disconnect. It basically just needs to be connected or removed.

I don't know if you've factored it in, but the front driveshaft actually does a lot to stabilize and locate the front axle. I get a little wobble when my driveshaft is out too.

I may not understand what you mean but if you disconnect the links on the rear sway bar, the bar will just flop around and smack into stuff when you are wheeling since the bar is mounted on the axle and not the frame.

Zipties and/or duct tape!

:becky:

Wow $600 I hope Marlin himself comes to your house and installs it for you at that price. Glad to hear you will be rockin and rolling soon :D

It would be an honor to have Marlin install it...but he's in the opposite corner of the country, so I think I'm on my own

being a cheap asian that i am i would just make my own square front DS lol since im only using 4x4 when im wheeling

I just might have to...Marlin just called me back saying that it's an extremely short driveline and the angles are going to be impossible to do...wtfff?

Most of my serious wheeler buddies have square front DS, they are way stronger and easy to replace. they also added a cv to the end so you don't have to worry about angles. unless you are aiming to do 50mph in 4wd then you want a balanced DS

Noooo this thing is my primary snow vehicle so I need to be able to sustain at least 30-40 in 4WD

In talks with Jesse at High Angle Driveline now...

Finish your rig and stop being a mall crawler!!!!

I'm TRYINGGGGG

Can't beat this death wobble. Tried swapping wheels, tried removing the spacers, tried lug-centric wheels...

I know I need more caster, but that's gonna involve shortening the upper link because it's bottomed out at this point and only giving me 4.5*.

In other news I got the Addco rear sway bar in and it corners as good, if not better than it did on IFS. Built the links wayyyy too beefy but I guess you cant make your end links too beefy...

Still need to work on the bracketry for the cable retrofit of the e-locker so it works.

Sucks I only have one day a week to work on it...

how's your trackbar? any movement what so ever can cause DW. Majority of the cases of DW on jeepforum was caused by a loose end of the trackbar or wallowed out hole. But, with this being a fresh swap I cant see a wallowed hole being the issue...

hmm...you rotated the wheels but are they all balanced?

I'll also assume that with a fresh rebuild of the axle, ball joints, and TRE's are in excellent shape...

Next thing I would recommend is having some one shake the steering wheel back and forth while you lay under neath, looking for any little play in the steering/suspension.

Hope this helps and I hope you find the solution soon and it being an easy one.

Yeah everything in here is new; rod ends, knuckles rebuilt, diff rebuilt, bushings and joints are new, track bar is new, bolts are new, tabs are new...that's why I'm leaning more towards suspension adjustment (i.e. caster) than worn out parts...

Trucks looking good man :thumb:
I'm jealous! :D
thanks dude!

Ahhh so you're the guy I'm following on instagram.. Love this build. I want action shots!:bowl:
