picked up this bad b!tch this weekend

Don't worry guys, I'm not gonna pull a [MENTION=63060]rickashay[/MENTION]...got it cheap with a blown front diff...gonna fix it, wheel it, sell it. Figure I'll list it for $4200 neg.

It's a 93 80-series Cruiser with 201k, power everything, sunroof, leather, tow package, front and rear lockers and brand new Michelins.

a) Rip out the axles and put them in my Runner, throw 37's on the wheels and junk the body
b) Build a SWEET expedition truck out of it


can't do that though...just gonna fix the front diff, maybe wheel it a little then sell it off...trying to buy a house and I already have 3 cars and 3 bikes

For the cars I have my 4Runner, my 2000 Camry and a 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT (don't be hatin').
In the motorbike catagory I have a 1978 Suzuki GS750 Cafe Bike, 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250(to stay on 2 wheels while the GS is in pieces)(for sale, btw) and my old 1985 Honda Elite CH150 (scooter, but I and all my friends use it for our road tests and currently teaching my youngest brother to ride on it)
The 250 is currently up for sale...gonna combine the cash from that and from this 80-series and buy my dream bike; 2002-2006 Honda VFR800 in Pearl White.

so a little update...

Yanked out the upper link and brought it back to my buddy who helped with the build. We found that the threaded bung wasn't threaded all the way through, and the rod end was bottoming out before it was threaded all the way in. So we shortened the bar by about .5" and ran a tap through the bung to finish the threads, now I can bottom out the rod end.

Installed the upper link and adjusted it to yield as much caster as possible...the front pinion flange is virtually flat (90* perpendicular to the ground) which from my estimations is about +8.5* of caster, although I still have to get it back on the alignment rack.
Took it for a drive and I still have the wobble, but I feel like it may not be as intense...might just be wishful thinking.

I'm gonna bring it up to work to run it on the alignment rack to see where it is...get the caster around +10* and toe the front wheels out about 10* and take it for another drive. If it still wobbles I'm just gonna sell the truck.

Just kidding. If it still wobbles with the alignment specs perfect, I'll start shopping for a steering stabilizer. That better do the trick. If not look for Summer in the classifieds. Just kidding. Maybe.
