So as most of you probably already know, I blew my front diff. Plans for the next few months are as such: Front Detroit Tru-Trac LSD, Rear FJC E-Locker with matching 4.88s.

Here's how it happened:

But before all this I recieved my Pre-Runner tubes, and had a buddy weld them on. The center hoop is from JCR Offroad and the side struts are 1" electrical conduit :lol:






just sprayed them...gonna lay a few more coats and get finished pics up in the morning!

...but for this picture only three come to mind...


My rebuild parts came from East Coast Gear SupplY;
4.88 gears for the e-locker, solid spacer, triple drilled flange

I figured I'd get the rear locked, geared and installed for now since I have it and can't use 4WD anyways...so I'll be a locked and geared pre-runner until I can get another $1g to buy the front diff already set up with the 4.88s and Tru-Trac

Did a little pre-runner 2-wheeling this weekend...I gotta say, the Jeepers were running in 2wd too, just to mess with me, and they weren't doing nearly as much as I was...once they shifted the t-case, though, they put my 2wd 'Runner to shame...oh well, got a cool pic out of it...

as far as fixing her goes, I have the ELD in the tranny shop being rebuilt with the 4.88s and the solid spacer for the rear. My buddy offered to give me a loan to get the front diff in, so hopefully I can be 4-wheeling again soon...this 2wd shit is getting old...

Got the wiring kit and switch from 12voltguy.com in today...came out really well, and I love that the connectors for the diff are OEM.





also....my new plates came in!

They're from an FJ80 (94-97) but mine are SE springs...look for a set of 2wd springs for less of a lift

Actually I found out that the 9 wraps (which are actually 9.25) are from the 91 LC with the tow package,

the 7 and 8 wraps are from the 93-97 LC

and some of the taller 8 wraps the 8.75 wraps are from the Lexus LX470

Just relaying the info that was passed to me...all I know is mine are 9-wrap coils and that's all that matters to me lol

From the front of the Landcruiser. I initially purchased a used set of 8 wraps off of a '97 but didn't end up using them since i have a complete set of OME's..I passed them up to my brother and he's close to building up his '99 too....also locker equipped!!
