been spending tons of time under the Runner this winter so I left them off...they faired pretty well though...and judging by the amout of scratches and dents, I KNOW they protected something....
Buds are getting ordered soon enough...

So I got a little update that's more of a bump than anything
BudBuilt skids came in, and started painting them. The top halfs are getting coated in rubberized undercoating, while the bottoms are getting flat black. I masked off the "BudBuilt" so that it shows through in bare metal. I'll clear coat the lettering at the end so it doesn't say "BudBuilt" in rust by the end of the winter :lol:

Finally got out there and installed my ToyTec diff drop (that I bought with the $25 I won tagging them in all of my Facebook pictures) and I'm surprised to say that the 1" makes the boot so it's just a millimeter or two from rubbing itself, thus causing boot failure leading to CV failure. I was always a "bahh what could one inch do?! I don't need a diff drop" kinda guy, but now I'm a believer! Still gonna grap a few Porsche 930 boots and do that mod though...

I also ordered some LEDs for the gauges and such...ordered a bunch of different types, not sure if I'm gonna go all red or all white or maybe a mixture of both. I think the white gauges look classy, but maybe the red will look sporty...I just don't want it to look ricey, so we'll see...

Go with the red for the gauges. when i had the white, it made the needles look almost pink. i liked the red way better. but either one will be better than the green

yeah, but thats more than just your forum name, thats your "Brand" name. cuz you are selling yourself for your business, so in essence you are adverstising and you should be able to claim the budbuilt front skid on your taxes as ad for your business!

What are you using for the rubberized coating? The budbuilts are a nice addition to your 4runner. :bigok:
