Pic Request: Superflex Coils

In an effort to make my truck more accessible to passengers, I'm looking to remove some of the lift that the LC coils give. I currently have 8 wraps and am debating switching to either 7.5 wraps or Superflexes. I'd like to lose about 3/4 inch and leave on the second perch up front OR lose about an 1.5" and drop to the first perch up front. Thanks all in advance!

Request: Looking for pics (profile shots preferred) and measurements of installed Superflex coils.

Request: Looking for feedback on Superflex coils. I'd be especially interested in hearing from drivers who migrated from LC coils to Superflexes. How do they handle high speed? How's the ride comfort?

Here is where mine sits after the Superflex coils. Fronts are on first perch. This is from the ground on 265/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock 16" wheels. I've got almost exactly an inch of rake which is exactly what I like.

Kinda hard to tell in this picture but this is everything after the lift.

I know someone locally who would be interested in those LC 8's if you decide to lose them.

This is very helpful, thank you! Don't suppose you have a dead on shot from the side? How's the ride?

Also, as a huge flashlight nerd, I couldn't help but notice the really bright hotspot of your (presumed) headlamp. For arm's length work, I highly recommend a mule-type headlamp. No hot spot, 160 degree beam pattern -- like daylight wherever you're looking at night. I use a Zebralight H602W, but Spark also makes one as well!

Roger that! They'll most likely be replaced when it's time for mid-travel. Just doing preliminary research now.

I'm sporting the car right now but when I get home I'll snap a side shot. Ride is a mix between sport and plush. Doesn't sway but not harsh either. But then again I'm coming from 218k mile old stock springs and shocks.

As for the light, it's an eBay special pocket Cree. Love that thing. I use an led drop light for close work.

Here is mine after the lift. I'll and get some measurements for you later.

Here's my interpretation of your post:

In an effort to make my wife happy again, I'm looking to remove some of the lift that the LC coils give so that she can get in and out of the 4Runner easier and so I don't have to sleep on the couch anymore.

You're insightful as hell man. Here's how awesome my wife is though...

The current game plan:
-Finish with two big clients (they deserve my undivided attention)
-Sell my Jetta TDI wagon
-Purchase a 2nd 00-02 3rd gen in black. This will be my wife's DD and also our trail truck
-Immediately commence the TDI swap on my truck.

My truck (the diesel one) will be toned down slightly so as to better handle hauling clients. It will still be getting mid-travel conversion, and will most likely be the same height as PatioBurrito's epic truck. I will be running a dual exhaust setup. The first exhaust route will be a straight piped, 3" setup. The second route will be a heavily muffled, catt'd, 3" path. I'll be able to switch between the two with a 3" butterfly valve.

My wife's truck will be our trail-duty truck. LC/TRD, 33's, and less concern for keeping it clean.

We've really come to love the 3rd gens as of late. Well, I've always loved them, but she's gotten really excited about them. I firmly believe the 3rd gens have a very timeless look. I believe they'll be client-ready for many years to come. Provided they are impeccably maintained and tastefully modified.

Just look at what TLC Cruisers has done for the FJ60's:

Do you mind if I ask what your front setup is? Looking forward to measurements!

Like the plans though! I've heard of people in the muscle car crowd with a valve in the exhaust, one for the street and the other for the track. I think that will be a first for a 4Runner though! That's fun that your wife really digs the 4Runners as much as you do. My wife enjoys our 4Runner for camping and such but she's not about to give up her sedan for a second one though!

I want the original, unfiltered post you were referring to ... I was all set to get my feelings hurt :hungry:

I got busy last night and didn't get a side picture. I'll make sure to get one this evening when I get home. Sorry about that.

Front is the Toytec Boss, with 600 coils. Since the pictures I have lowered the front a bit. I took the measurements in my garage which isn't perfectly level but I have 24 from the center of the hub on the passenger side and 23.5 on the driver side. Also it is important to note that I am not running the cones.

Kind of what my wife said once I added the body lift. She wanted it lower. But now she is excited about how it has been built. She loves to drive it and dont like driving her stock SUV anymore. She hates it when I mod it but loves it when its done.

My awesome wife said once I get her a 2nd gen tacoma double cab I can go full blown in my Talon drag build. Its going to have a $20k budget, been saving and buying small parts. 4runner is going to have to take a back seat for a bit. Its running good enough to keep up with the big boys and maintenance is pretty much done.

Mines on the right next to stock 4runner. I got eibachs with Tundra 5100 on 2nd perch and superflex on rear

Nothing crazy but good flex

One side of my rear sway bar is broken so its disconnected. And so at a good flex the drive shaft hits the gas tank skid plate. I either need to bent the skid plate, install longer links or adjustable panhard. Keep in mind I have ss extended bump stops and panhard drop bracket
