#1 It's a storage space.
#2 Wherever you want - I put mine in the cupholder when nothing else is in there when I am in the truck, otherwise in my pocket when not in the truck, and of course at home it can be in many places (not all at once) and it even gets charged...:shrug:
I figured that I would get those responses and I accept it. I may not have many posts but I have been on here for some time and I know how it goes.
But that storage space seems to be useless and I was hoping there was some type of holder(?) for a cell phone that someone has used.

Everybody knows that space is for mounting switches for Rigid LED lights that are mounted on your GOBI roof rack. One switch for the front, one for the rear.
Better start placing some orders...:biggrin1:

Doesn't have to be GOBI...you do have some choices.
For what it's worth, my cell phone also finds itself at home sometimes in that worthless storage spot. Based on the design it tends to work well with loose change - but the cup holders are better for this since you can pull them out and dump all the contents into your hand all at once.

if you have an iphone 5 and ever need to stream sporting events while on the road, just so happens the iphone 5 wedges perfectly into the center of dash cluster (horizontal of course).

The little storage place is where i keep all of my useless "carpeted floor mat cleaning machine" tokens that the car wash gives me. Hopefully one day I will be able to trade them for some beer....

And I usually throw my phone in the pass seat or in the little wedge in front of the pass cup holder.

I use that little space for my itty bitty iPod Nano and run a cable from that to the USB port for my stereo. I have a little friction pad on the lid of my center console for the phone, but as often as not my iPhone resides on the flat space in front of the time/temp display so I'm not tempted to look down at text messages.
