Picked up another project today

I bought this one owner 96 SR5 4x4 with a seized 3.4 today. Body, undercarriage and interior are all in good shape. Paint is faded a bit. It came with all the original paperwork from when he purchased it new. When the motor seized the po, for some reason idk why, thought it would be a good idea to hook the tow strap to the bumper as a tow point. It was so cheap i had to buy it. It should be a fun winter project.

Not sure yet. I bought my 04 tacoma 4x4 with a blown 3.4 and dropped in a salvage yard motor so i might do the same with this one. It would be a shame to part it out imo.

The po off this 4runner stopped by my work this morning with a large envelope containing all the original paperwork from when he purchased it new and all the maintenance records. He even kept the dealer key tag with the vehicle info on it. Here's a pic of the window sticker, almost $32 grand and that's back in 1996!

Where you located? I'm from Canton, still work there. I needed a single family home with a large yard, driveway & garage so i bought a house in dundalk. Still close to my work but far enough away to avoid the high city property tax and parking issues, lol.

I live out in Eldersburg in Carroll County. My daughter just moved from Canton ,S Linwood near Looneys :beer:

I grew up 2 blocks from Looneys, on Potomac & Hudson. I saw that lift this evening. I like the 3" Toytec lifts, that's what i have on both of my trucks.

It's one of the advantages of working in the automotive industry. I have enough 4runners i'm trying to find a 80 series diff locked land cruiser. I have my eye on one, the guy comes into my work. I already told him when he's ready to sell i'm ready to buy. Here's a pic from the last time he brought it into the shop. It's a west coast 104k mile truck.

I called the salvage yard in Arizona where i purchased the 69k mile 3.4 for my tacoma to see if they had another complete 3.4 for this runner. They have a 99 engine with 116k miles for $700 and $270 for the shipping. Guy said to call back Monday and he will see what kind of a discount he can give me to help me out because of the shipping cost. They knocked $200 off the other motor so i'm hoping they can do the same for this one.
