Pics from testing the flex post-lift

Took these pics a while back but never posted them. I drove up this cross camber washed-out ravine, first in 2H, then 4H, then 4L, and (as you can imagine) had to user the locker. I could have gone around, but this was strictly for testing purposes. Pretty good example of the limitation of open diffs (for losers without A-TRAC that is). There might be a bit of flex left since none of the wheels were in the air, but if was enough for the 4H with open diffs to be worthless.

Edit: this is also an example of why being able to activate the locker in 2H would be great. I might have to look into that mod.

He's displaying the improved articulation of the upgraded suspension, or 'flex'.

OP - What do you have up front, Fox as well?

Ron- I was mostly implying good driving and A-TRAC make any trim of 4Runner pretty damn capable.

OP - What do you have up front, Fox as well?

Hey, I did the same test a few months ago...

4H with no trac help...This is as far as the 4R would climb before right front and left rear just sat there spinning


4L with locked diff...got all the way up and could of kept going if there was more runway.
