Have you thought about just comparing how the flares on Limited models are compared to SR5's? That should give you a good place to start from to see if you want them bigger, or smaller.

Yeah but, That conversion wouldnt be as reasonable in price. I wanted to see what was available as a replacement

I got some Bushwackers through www.ultimateautoaccessories.com
for just under $500. They bolt right up without any issue's.
They also come w/ the parts that screw into your bumper. Mine were rubbing and had to be removed after I got the wider wheels. Shouldnt be an issue once lifted.

I guess prices have jumped;I bought a set of the Extenda-flares for my '97 back in '04 and they cost me about $280 shipped. I had mine painted by a friend and they did look good.

I'll have to scan some older pics and post 'em.

Oh,I know it's the prices but to almost double was a shock but they are good OEM quality flares and the install took less than an hour.

Ok.. I ws gonna oreder some flares but, what do I do about the end caps on the running boards? How do the a/m flares and factory sr5 running board end caps merge?

It looks like you got endcaps for you running boards to match the new flares?

Mike's 4Runner came with those flares stock as the skinny black flares didn't go past '99 and all the rest either had the Limited style (with the Limited style running boards) or the little chrome strip over the wheel wells.

he is correct.. they did come with them! if you plan on taking the running boards off like most of the off-roaders do you wont need those pieces.

Sportztrailers just quoted me $355 delivered for Bushwacker part #31913-11-that is the Extend a Fender flare . If you look on the Bushwacker web site this is the last pictured 4Runner-bottom of the web page-a red Runner.


I have not yet found anyone to beat that price.

I'll try them. I wonder if they are cheap on the part above?
