Installed a 3" lift two weeks ago on the runner and just haven't gotten around to loading any pics yet. Lift consists of Toytec's 3" spacer:shrug: OME 891 rear and a differential drop... Tires are still 255/70/R16 waiting for them to wear out some more before I get new bigger tires.

The lift only took 5 hours to install in my mother-in-laws garage with just hand tools, 2 jack stands and a jack... Thats including clean up time. Only thing I regret is not getting the coils for the front, but the ride is still pretty good and don't really have any complaints with the lift. Gained almost 3 1/4" inches in the front w/spacers and 3 1/2" inches in the rear with the stiffer 891's.

Why not sell the tires while there is still decent tread and put that towards a new set of meats? No offense but the tires look pretty darn small with the lift. Also ditch the running boards. You may be able to sell them and put that money towards the tires too.

I bought a brand new truck and the tires sucked, 1400 miles later I sold them on CL for $300 and bought the Duratracs. I just couldnt drive around on the other tires for 30k as it would take me 5 years to put that many miles on.

Thought about trying to sell the tires I currently have on CL so I can go ahead and get the larger tires. As in size I'm not sure yet, going to get up with a friend next week and try on a set of 285/75 maxxis bighorns mounted on amercian racings wheels to see what clearance issues I have. From looking around on here it takes a little work and cash to run 33's but I'd like to get a set of 285/75's or 255/85's?

I'm in the same boat. I need some bigger shoes and would like to get wider rims with some offset to push the tires out about an inch. U of M took all my money so I won't be able to upgrade for a while. Until then, I'm running on stilts. :bash:

Granted I'm not going too far offroad but I'm running 285's with no lift. I would think it would easily be accomplished with a 3+ inch lift. BTW those Bighorns are great...do tend to wear out fast though but probably on par with an average mud terrain.
