I just purchased the Toytec Boss Aluma 2.0 lift kit with JBA UCA'S. I'm wanting to keep the stock TRD Off Road wheels and put Falken Wildpeak AT3 285/70 17 tires on them, but I have two local shops telling me that I need to put spacers in so that the tires don't rub on the UCA'S. Is this true? I think I would rather do 275's or get new wheels if it is true. I'm not a big fan of wheel spacers.

Spacers will make it rub worse on the frame and front fender. You will have just enough clearance on the UCA’s

Do you have more pictures of the front? Looks like you are running a new style front bumper but with 2010-2013 headlights? Interested to see how that works.

Guys, I don't know if it is the pictures or what. My 2020 trd offroad wheels look more shinier then a lot of the ones in this list. Some of the pics the wheels looks like a machined metal color or is it just the pic?

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers in that size and I rub at full lock. You can see it on the most outer part and bottom there. Enough to take the powder coat off.
I don't think I rub too much now that a shop gave me some positive camber or just at 0.0 from what I remember.

Edit: on yeah, on stock trail wheels with no spacers.

I had rubbing with 275 k02s and 1" Bora spacers as well.

I have a Pro with the Pro wheels running 275’s. I added 1.5/1” spacers which makes it about 2.5” up front as the Pro is 1” higher stock than the other 4Runners. It also comes with the front fender liner mod done at the port. I did not have to mod or remove my mud flaps and have no rubbing at full articulation off road.

Next time around I will probably run 285’s. Plenty of Pro’s running 285’s with a2/1.5” spacer lift and no rubbing. The key is the offset of the Pro wheel. I use to run 285/75-16’s, the equivalent of 285/70-17’s on my 2001 4Runner on 16x7” oem wheels and could air down to 15lbs. without issues. I had a slight rub after years of use on the UCA that left a mark like the previous member showed on his UCA.

Do you have different UCA'S, or are they stock? Did you have to do a BMC?

Are you using 1" Bora spacers all around? I haven't pulled off my wheels to measure the stud length, any issues with clearance on the studs. This spacing looks perfect balance of clearance while staying under the factory flares.

Also, Are you still running only a 1" spacer out back.

Weights?

Not to hi-jack but do any of you guys have these weights on your wheels? The tire shop mounted the traditional crimp on weights on the inside rim. I get why they are there but I didn't notice them on my 2017, maybe they were painted black? Every wheel on my 2020 has them in different locations and quantities. Each section is 1/4 oz.

How'd it go? We have the same wheels and are looking at similar sized tires.
